Group B streptococcus (GBS) is the most common cause of life threatening infection in newborn babies in the UK. Without preventative medicine, GBS causes around 700 infections each year and around 75 resulting deaths. Yet, not only have most pregnant women not heard of it, most of these infections can be prevented!

GBSS provides much needed information and support to families affected by GBS during pregnancy, delivery and their baby's first 3 months of life.

GBSS also provides information for health professionals on how most GBS infections can be prevented.

Our Vision-
